This function includes employees who are in dedicated on-site service roles. Jobs in this function may work closely with sales on renewals and upselling, but incumbents do not have specific sales goal accountability or primary responsibility to close sales. Account management jobs focused primarily on relationship and service management belong in this family; jobs with significant sales responsibilities or sales-related incentives (including ‘OTH’ plans) belong in a sales band.

 

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages ongoing contract relationships and service delivery to clients for one or more accounts
  • Acts as outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center) and large or complex accounts
  • Builds relationships with employer/group clients (not individual members) and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day-to-day service delivery 
  • Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs

 

You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of service experience (i.e. retail, call center, etc.) interacting with customers, assisting with issues and solving problems
  • 5+ years of pharmacy experience with PBM, retail pharmacy, etc.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated proficiency and expertise in the CARE Specialist; or equivalent client service experience supporting core business segments or clients
  • 2+ years of experience working in a client facing role (i.e. directly supporting and interacting with OptumRx clients)
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in OptumRx processes and operations
  • Proven comprehensive knowledge of OptumRx products and systems required (i.e. RxClaims)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in thinking analytically and strategically to solve highly complex problems and identify solutions
  • Ability to analyze large data sets, summarize findings, and effectively communicate information to leaders, internal business partners, and clients
  • Proven solid written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to write clear, concise, and accurate messages for a variety of audiences
  • Proven ability to work self-directed with minimal direction and procedures
  • Proven excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and supporting team members, leadership, and internal partners
  • Proven track record influencing without authority to gain buy in from others to achieve results
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week during standard business hours (7am to 7pm local time) Monday – Friday with some weekends, holidays and/or additional hours during the work week as business needs dictate

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Technician certification
  • Experience utilizing ServiceNow and/or Salesforce in an issue management environment
  • Account and/or Client Management experience
  • Work experience in multiple functions within OptumRx
  • Management / leadership experience
  • Familiarity with OptumRx products and systems
  • Ability to analyze and communicate large sets of data
  • Internal Candidates: Annual performance review rating of Meets Expectations or better for at least two consecutive years

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
