Positions in this family perform research, design, development and management of new or existing products or capabilities to support the sale and/or internal use of services, solutions and/or functions.  Responsible for delivering and/or reviewing product or capability performance against expectations and facilitates or influences changes to portfolio to improve value.  Partners with internal and external stakeholders (key customers, partnerships, etc.) to define and drive future products or capability direction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Use pertinent data facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area of expertise
  • Investigates non-standard request and problems with some assistance of others
  • Works exclusively within a specific knowledge area
  • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines
  • Provides explanations and education to others on topics within the area of expertise
  • Review findings and analysis from SME to initiate system enhancements 
  • Facilitate meeting/host role for business rules, requirements, and research 
  • Pursue follow up items assigned
  • Document and approve Features, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
  • Support provider operations perspective on system enhancement projects
  • Prioritize/PI Planning US and maintain backlog in Rally
  • Lead discussions on sizing and work effort for Provider Selection related enhancements and provider operations enhancements that may affect provider selection
  • Provide input and accept IT User Stories, technical documentation, and demonstrations
  • Review QCA and UAT user stories, attend demos, review test cases, sign off on test cases on other projects that may affect Automated Provider Selection
  • Provide input on test plan and results
  • Support release check-out and post implementation
  • Provide support for documentation of operations (screen reference docs, job aids, SOPs, training documentation, workflows) etc.
  • Tending provider pick issues, root cause and drive process improvement initiatives for high trend or high impact items
  • Capture and report provider selection statistics
  • Deliver sustainable, financially sound solutions that solve a specific problem
  • Support business strategy and new opportunities for business clients

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with healthcare provider data and its business usage 
  • 5+ years of NDB experience
  • 3+ years of claims experience with CSP Facets 
  • Proven to have Microsoft Office and Teams skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Green Belt 
  • 2+ years of experience in presenting information in large project group meetings 
  • 2+ years of experience successfully managing one or more major projects, which integrates multiple business areas or systems
  • 1+ years of experience with Cost Benefit Analysis 
  • Experience with Visio and Microsoft Project
  • Proven rally or AHA process exposure 
  • Proven track and report auto provider pick auto pick statistics 
  • Proven to develop trending reports to illustrate common issues impacting provider selection by platform including heavy hitter’s analysis
  • Proven to develop and drive solutions and remediation steps for common provider pick issues, whether the solution is business process change or system enhancement
  • Proven willingness to handle a variety of different types of project assignments vs. a fixed role/function
  • Proven solid business partner focus
  • Proven ability to prioritize in an environment of rapid change
  • Proven solid organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proven self-starter; team player; quality minded; focused; committed; work independently
  • Proven ability to stay committed to long-term project goals
  • Proven ability to direct project outcome based on long term business objectives
  • Proven to have Microsoft Office and Teams skills

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
