The Marketing Manager within the UnitedHealthcare Group Retiree Growth Marketing team is responsible for the strategic planning, development, review, approval and management of day-to-day execution of assigned program communications and engagement opportunities. This role will support campaign/project initiatives for the Group Retiree Medicare Advantage business segment.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with Group Retiree Marketing leaders to ensure that all assigned projects are effectively managed and executed for the Group Retiree Medicare Advantage business
- Develop and execute marketing plans that differentiate us in the marketplace and position us as market leaders (e.g., unique capabilities, offerings, functionality) that deliver on our business goals (Wellness, NPS, revenue)
- Contribute to the planning, creative development and implementation of integrated marketing communications to support programs and strategies, offering solutions and recommendations to manager and other contributing team members and partners
- Analyze and report results of marketing campaigns using applicable metrics (e.g., response frequency) and deploy strategies to optimize future performance
- Cultivate solid trusting relationships with applicable internal business partners to drive support, understanding and collaboration of our program marketing efforts (e.g. Clinical/Wellness, Product Management, Account Management,
- Legal/Compliance, Creative Services, Operations, Digital, Data Analytics)
- Represent Group Retiree Marketing initiating ideas and actions and advocate for the member experience and program with cross functional work groups
- Manage required day-to-day tasks, including status report and timeline management, meeting coordination, material review and approvals with key stakeholders and legal and maintaining centralized files for reference and compliance
- Ensure marketing initiatives/campaigns adhere to applicable processes/procedures/requirements (e.g., spending limits, review/approval processes, branding, regulatory and legal requirements) using internal material management tools
- Assist with management of program budgets
- Partner cross-functionally to support ad hoc projects that will further enable business to personalize program experiences
- Communicate project details effectively with cross functional teams, such as creative, production, data, analytics and SMEs (subject matter experts)
- Serve as a key resource for the overall coordination and execution of program communication across multiple channels both online and offline
- Assist with the development of presentations, program overviews, recaps, and other materials for internal meetings and presentations, present work internally to leadership and other business partners

Years of post-high school education can be substituted/is equivalent to years of experience
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of direct-to-consumer marketing, end to end campaign management experience
- 3+ years proven ability to develop and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns
- 3+ years demonstrated effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- 3+ years proven ability to manage multiple priorities from inception to completion on time
- 3+ years of experience demonstrating organization skills
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications
- Proven excellent written & verbal communications skills; solid ability to write, copy-edit and evaluate creative
- Proven organization and project/program/time management skills
- Proven ability to adopt the use of new applications quickly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare or Financial Services Marketing experience
- Experience working within a matrix organization
- Proven communication and influencing skills
- Proven ability to thrive in a performance-based marketing environment
- Proven ability to be flexible and work with solid level of independence and ambiguity
- Proven to be highly motivated and a passionate team player

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
