UHC PI in partnership with Optum PI, Optum Analytics and the UHG CDO office are in the process of building a scalable data intel and performance delivery solution that will provide the necessary data insights, management controls and business intelligence to more effectively run the business and modernize data to drive growth and enhanced Provider experiences. 

This effort will result in a scalable solution offering four key capabilities that include but are not limited to, a secure single source of truth PI claims data repository, interactive data visualization capabilities (financial, operational, experience), integrated early alert and management remediation controls and an advanced data center that enables the use of advanced analytic APP leveraging AI/ML to modernize data.

The Senior Product Director is responsible for facilitating the capture of all end-end business requirements to firmly establish the product vision, value story and product roadmap. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across multiple teams to ensure alignment while overseeing the end-end delivery roadmap process.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive product vision and strategy roadmap
  • Engage appropriate enterprise-wide stakeholders to enable awareness and alignment
  • Lead the product across its entire lifecycle using defined processes and industry best practices
  • Know the market, to effectively identify and frame new technology products
  • Define solutions with high-value requirements, a compelling business case, clear product positioning, priority, and strategic impact
  • Partner with stakeholders to enable successful development, delivery, and adoption of technology solutions
  • Manage ongoing product performance, expansion, financial health, roadmap, and end-of-life decision as appropriate
  • Serve as the product champion and apply deep expertise to credibly represent, manage and engage with business(es)

Required

  • BS/BA in business and/or healthcare related fields – MBA highly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience translating business requirements to a strategic roadmap and delivery plan while managing on-time delivery across multiple stakeholders
  • Relevant experience as a Product Manager / Program Manager managing multifaceted requirements and delivery plans
  • Written and oral communicator

 Preferred:

  • Experience with US Healthcare including Payment Integrity
  • Experience with Financial Analysis and Budget Control
  • Experience managing business partners in a matrix organization
  • Experience working directly with senior level business stakeholders
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Visio)

Soft Skills:

  • Highly collaborative individual with ability to influence others and build strong stakeholder relationships internally, as well as externally.
  • Solid working knowledge of how to execute on project deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop solid networks and ensure collaboration and consensus building
  • An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences
  • Self-directed and able to drive detailed solutions to completion with minimal oversight
