Hospitalist 

We are seeking a BC/BE Internal Medicine physician to work with a growing inpatient service at a vibrant 500-bed safety-net community hospital in Everett, Washington, about 30 miles north of Seattle. The team is composed of 80+ providers. The hospital has a robust multidisciplinary staff that supports all inpatient work, including subspecialists, pharmacists, social workers, respiratory and physical therapists, palliative care, etc.  

A full time position enjoys a hospitalist schedule of 14-17 shifts per month, with no more than 3 night shifts per year.  The average daily census ranges between 14-18 patients per shift.

The Everett community is socio-economically diverse, and the successful applicant would have a lively curiosity about people from different backgrounds and desire to understand patients and their families’ communities.  

The Medical Hospitalist Team is very well-supported with strong relationships with its ICU, ER, subspecialists and palliative care colleagues.  

This community hospital has deep ties to both the University of Washington with a long tradition of teaching medical students as well as the Washington State University, now serving as a principal training site for both the internal medicine residency program and third-year Medicine clerks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Unrestricted WA State Medical License or ability to obtain prior to hire
  • Current WA DEA certificate or ability to obtain prior to hire
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine 
  • EMR proficient 
  • Proven positive attitude and solid work ethic 
  • Proven self-starter with ability to practice with a high degree of independence 
  • Proven solid verbal and written communication skills 

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $260,000 – $387,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
