Here at Optum, we are excited to share that we are currently recruiting for an Events and Marketing Manager to join us on a permanent basis.

Working with our customers, we are leading the way in the delivery of patient-centred, connected, digitally enabled health and care services. Our customers and partners are using our solutions in all health and care settings, from GP surgeries and community care to high street pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, not-for-profit organisations, and specialist services. We are committed to developing the next generation of healthcare technology that will truly make a difference.

What you’ll do

As part of our dynamic team, you will play a vital role in supporting customer retention, driving market growth, and elevating brand positioning.
You will plan, contribute to, and deliver integrated marketing campaigns while ensuring the successful execution of our events and conference program. This position is perfect for a highly organised and creative individual who is passionate about clear communication and possesses a flair for storytelling.

This position will involve both marketing implementation and support for events.

 

Other key responsibilities and accountabilities will include; 

Marketing:

  • Develop and carry out marketing campaigns that build brand awareness, generate leads, and increase customer engagement
  • Write clear and engaging copy that appeals to audiences on different marketing channels, including digital and traditional media
  • Work closely with teams from sales, product development, and customer communications to ensure marketing efforts support business goals
  • Communicate with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain consistent messaging and a solid brand image

Events:

  • Plan and manage impactful webinars and user group meetings that offer valuable insights and build community
  • Create engaging messages and promotional strategies to make each event successful and memorable
  • Prepare event kits for conferences and help set up event spaces and booths

We want to make sure you’re set for success, so the key skills and experience we’re looking for are below:

  • Solid understanding of marketing principles, digital marketing, and content creation
  • Exceptional communication and copywriting skills, enabling you to convey complex messages in simple terms while considering the target audience and the desired outcomes
  • Experience in creating content across various channels is an advantage
  • Proficiency in using or learning technology such as content management systems and marketing platforms
  • Knowledge of health technology or the NHS is advantageous but not essential
  • Experience with large-scale conferences is beneficial
