UnitedHealthcare Retiree Solutions (URS) is searching for a product manager to support our employer group Medicare Part D product offerings.  This will require collaboration with multiple partners throughout the organization.

 

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

 

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Update and Publish Product Rules: review and update the Product Rules document annually, incorporating CMS regulations, stakeholder input (legal, regulatory affairs, Pharmacy Operations, Phoenix, BAT), and product strategy decision to ensure sold plans are compliant with plan requirements and reflective of our product strategy. 
  • Update Phoenix (PHX): work with the Phoenix Administration Team to update URS’s Salesforce tool, Phoenix, to match Product Rules.  Validate accuracy of annual updates using Excel-based reporting tools. 
  • Member Material Review: Conduct an annual review of member materials to ensure the accurately reflect Group Part D benefits; manage midyear changes as needed. 
  • Support Part D Product Strategy: Collaborate with the Part D product team to host the annual summit, discussing upcoming product changes with Sales, Account Management, Underwriting, Actuary, and other stakeholders. Communicate business goals and product changes effectively in presentations and follow-ups. Aid in identifying areas where new products and programs will meet the needs of the emerging Medicare customer.  
  • Product Change Implementation: Drive follow-up actions for product changes, including coordinating with Sales, Account Management, Phoenix Admin, and BAT when groups require changes to benefits. 
  • Digital Tool Updates: Complete annual updates to digital tools, such as the Drug Lookup Tool, in collaboration with clinical pharmacy and digital teams. 
  • State Filing Completion: Work with filers, materials team, legal, and actuary to ensure timely completion of state filings. 
  • Stakeholder Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholder teams across URS and M&R, including legal, regulatory affairs, materials, actuary, and filers. 
  • Process Improvement: Identify and drive process improvement opportunities to completion, with support from the product team.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of demonstrated Health Plan experience within Medicare 
  • 3+ years of demonstrated Product Management/Product Development experience 
  • Time and resource management skills 
  • Demonstrated success in creating value for customers 
  • Proven track record of strong execution and results 
  • Solid executive presence and experience communicating with all levels of an organization 
  • Inquisitive approach to disruptive technologies, emerging trends, and consumer buying habits 
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel and PowerPoint) 
  • Demonstrated track record of success to analyze problems, draw relevant conclusions and devise appropriate courses of action to solve problems for clients and internal stakeholders 
  • Demonstrate UnitedHealthcare’s values of integrity, compassion, relationships, innovation and performance 
  • Willing and able to travel 10% +/- depending on business need 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Pharmacy benefit management experience 
  • Part D employer group Medicare experience 
  • Experience performing competitive analysis and market research to stay on top of industry trends 
  • Ability to identify impact of CMS regulations to product portfolio 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as the ability to understand and interpret complex information from others 
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible in finding solutions to problems

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
