As part of our Home and Community Care Solutions evolution, we are continuing to evolve product offerings to include more dynamic AI-based programs within our Transitions of Care space to impact the potentially addressable $400M in annual hospitalization spend. Immediate focus is on the member journey and with providing next best care and next best action pilots in close partnership with our data science teams. This is part of an annualized $35-$60M+ Transitions of Care program effort with near-term annualized $21M in MedEx (reutilization) reduction.
The Director of the Next Best Action team is a key leader who will assess, evaluate, and define our integrated road map for dynamic AI modeling and functions and who will enable our vision to provide the highest quality care for our Home and Community members.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing thought leadership and direction on approaches and methods to enhance business performance while working closely with stakeholders to ensure positive impact and sustainable results
- Driving integrated strategy and planning, goal development, and annual planning processes for dynamic value-based care programs
- Leading execution of business reviews with Executive and stakeholder audiences
- Conducting data and financial analysis to guide strategies in how we support the business
- Establishing and maintaining solid, collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders while resolving many internal questions and issues
- Creating culture, systems, and processes that support one Home and Community Care Solutions vision
- Performing duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare
- 10+ years of experience in a product or solutions management role
- Experience managing multiple products and/or complex initiatives simultaneously across the entire lifecycle – from initial requirements gathering through product release and rollout
- Experience balancing development timelines and prioritization of product enhancements
- Experience quickly grasping complex concepts and then translating them for less technical audiences while simultaneously being able to dive into the details when needed
- Solid experience using Microsoft Office products and applications, with particular emphasis on PowerPoint and visual communication
- Deep healthcare industry knowledge
- Demonstrated analytic acumen, experience leveraging data to drive decision making and improve outcomes
- Demonstrated to be a strategic thinker, skilled communicator, and seasoned influencer with experience driving consensus at all levels, including senior executive leadership
- Able and willing to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in a product or solutions management role
- Product or solution management experience with a technology-enabled health services company or comparable entity
- Demonstrated to be self-driven with sense of urgency, requiring minimal oversight to drive challenges to closure
- Demonstrated to be extremely organized with demonstrated experience establishing priorities, holding cross functional partners accountable and ultimately achieve results
- Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively in a rapidly evolving environment and convert ambiguity to clarity

The salary range for this role is $124,500 to $239,400 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
