As an Optum at Home Senior Product Manager, you will design solutions and execute on strategies that have been established for new initiatives. This position requires you to develop the framework and initial product solution that encompasses components of clinical, operations, reporting, legal, compliance and privacy. You will establish collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, design product solutions, write product and business requirements, and effectively manage all aspects of the project through launch.  As a Sr. Product Manager, you will understand the product value proposition and be a key stakeholder in the business to help drive the product strategy based on market needs and inputs.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Ensures product provides best value to clients & members
  • Identifies product opportunities, creates overall solution for product opportunities and ensures it aligns to broader product strategy
  • Creates product scope outline and high-level business requirements
  • Presents requests to leadership for approval to proceed with development
  • Documents and communicates leadership decisions to proceed with requested enhancement to cross-functional teams
  • Engages with key team stakeholders to solution & deploy initiative
  • Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of new initiative Responsible for creating success metrics.
  • Monitors initiative progress & outcomes
  • Provides recommendation on next steps based upon initiative outcomes
  • Manage day to day delivery of product initiatives

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in product development or project management
  • 5+ years of management and/or business analyst years collaborating in cross-functional and matrixed environment influencing others and gaining alignment on common goals
  • 5+ years of working in a deadline driven environment, managing, and prioritizing multiple deliverables
  • 3+ years Medicaid experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint) 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely to leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to manage products, people and prioritize deliverables

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Solid attention to detail
  • Solid demonstrated ability to lead business initiatives to a successful result
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Ability to effectively deal with moderate levels of ambiguity, can effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably, can decide and act without having the total picture, comfortably handles risk and uncertainty
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Effective formal presentation and facilitation skills in a variety of settings 
  • Solid analytical abilities, organization, and project / process management skills 
  • Good negotiation, problem solving, planning and decision-making skills. Accurately scopes out projects and sets objectives and goals
  • Solid initiative and self-motivation
  • Ability to manage projects simultaneously and achieve goals
  • Solid writing, presentation and speaking skills
  • Organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
