As a Senior Product Manager, within Clinical Solutions – Prospective Risk and Quality Service, you will be responsible for functioning as the voice of the customer within product and engineering teams to ensure the specification, prioritization, delivery, and commercialization of RQ products. Clinical Solutions develops evidence-based programs and tools that improve health outcomes, enhance care quality, and reduce costs. The team combines clinical expertise with technology and analytics to support better decision-making and deliver innovative solutions that strengthen Optum’s mission to make the health system work better for everyone.
You will lead product strategy and vision, driving the build of data and analytics capabilities through agile delivery. This role supports Optum Insight technology teams that enable quality and risk evaluations for government and commercial health plans.
As Senior Product Manager, you will define and prioritize features, collaborate with agile teams, and deliver marketable solutions, initially focusing on AI-driven products.
Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance products that address customer needs and priorities, creating solutions that truly make an impact
- Turn ideas into actionable features by working with product owners to maintain a clear backlog and craft user stories that deliver value
- Collaborate with diverse teams, data, analytics, engineering, and UX to keep the customer perspective at the heart of every decision
- Manage the full product lifecycle, from initial concept through deployment, support, and commercialization
- Champion agile practices, including sprint planning, PI planning, and roadmap reviews to keep projects moving forward
- Partner with business teams to identify opportunities for product and service improvements
- Evaluate solutions strategically, ensuring seamless integration and balancing value against cost throughout development
- Communicate product vision and roadmap clearly to stakeholders and leadership
- Contribute to team success, sharing knowledge and supporting growth across the organization

Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of AI/ML and modern PDLC
- Proven experience in product strategy or business development
- Proven expertise in agile software development and collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Proven deep understanding of customer-centric product design and development
- Demonstrated success managing and delivering large, complex, multi-stakeholder programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven product experience within healthcare or related domains
- Proven data analytics experience
