Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervisor position leads production staff and has responsibility for their direct reports
- Maintain current operational knowledge of UCS Appeals processes
- Regulatory requirements
- Performance metrics
- Maintain high level of morale and performance
- Supervise and support direct reports, including motivation and recognition
- Coordinate work activities with other supervisor’s managers
- Monitor performance of direct reports and review performance with staff including 1:1 meetings, coaching, formal corrective action plan (if applicable) and annual reviews
- Collaborate with in team and with other teams for process improvement and process efficiencies

Provide input into the content for process documents: job aids, Standard
Operating Procedures (SOP) and Data Entry Strategies
- Support the recruiting/hiring/training of new staff
- Track and trend recurring issues for the team and develop action plans for improvement
- Identify development goals for self and activities to achieve those goals
- Support their direct reports in identifying individual development goals and activities to achieve those goals
- Positions in this function require RN licensure with current unrestricted licensure in applicable state and may require certification based on role and grade level

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
- RN licensure in state of residence
- 5+ years of clinical experience as an RN
- 3+ years of clinical appeals experience
- 3+ years of supervisor experience
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Proficiency in applicable claim system (if supporting post service appeals)
- Proficiency in applicable authorization system e.g., ICUE/HSR)
- Proven excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven excellent organizational skills
- Proven ability to work independently
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proven ability to plan, prioritize, organize and complete work to meet established objectives
- Must have a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) and is able to be secured to maintain
- Must have access to install secure high-speed internet (minimum speed 5 download mps and 1 upload mps) via cable/DSL in home (wireless/cell phone provider, satellite, etc. does NOT meet this requirement)
- Ability to work (9 AM – 6 PM Central Time) note this will be customized based on the specific team needs

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
