Working to assist providers in providing health care through virtual primary care. The Medical Assistant serves the patient and the provider by gathering and maintaining the necessary medical information in a cheerful, friendly, personable manner; providing quality patient care and helping to establish rapport between the provider and the patient.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responds to incoming phone calls and desktop items and refers if necessary. Calls patients as directed by the provider and/or as necessary to follow up and/or schedule appointments
• Obtains patient histories, medications, immunizations and other data in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Retrieves laboratory and radiology test results and instructs patients regarding medications and treatment per provider’s instructions
• Understands and follows the approved prescription refill workflow and documentation requirements. Communicates directly with provider for any refills that need provider input, or that do not meet the workflow requirements
• Understands and interprets current immunization schedule
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• MA Certification through the Washington Department of Health
• MA Certification from the AAMA, NCCT, NHA, or AMT
• 5+ years of Medical Assistant experience

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience with electronic medical record systems – EPIC preferred

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
