The Solutions Consultant has a pivotal role within Optum Financial, responsible for bridging the gap between technical expertise and Healthcare Payer client needs. This position involves collaborating closely with Growth, Relationship Management, Product, and Implementation teams to ensure that clients fully understand and benefit from Optum Financial’s supplemental benefit solutions. The Solutions Consultant will leverage their technical knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems, document customer requirements, and provide strategic consultation. Additionally, they will support the sales process by aligning Optum Financial products with client program requirements, demonstrating solutions, and ensuring accurate representation within the CRM. This role is integral to drive successful Payer client engagements and foster solid partnerships across various departments.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical resource for the Payer Growth and Relationship Management teams to understand a client’s needs and assist in facilitating an overview on Optum Financials’ supplemental benefit solutions
- Provide technical expertise in developing solutions to complex issues and problems
- Understand and document Payer customer’s business and functional program requirements and provide recommendations to the team on the best solution
- Attend attending pipeline calls, business reviews, product roadmap reviews and advocate for the company’s go-to-market plans
- Support RFP completion by completing tasks as assigned by RFP lead
- As needed, consult with small to medium-sized clients to help them think differently about their needs
- Provide Supplemental Benefit solution demonstration support
- Partner with Relation Management and Implementation to document Program Requirements within the CRM
- Partner with our CRM team to ensure products and program requirements are accurately represented

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of healthcare and/or fintech industry experience specifically in the Benefit Administration industry and Benefits systems/technologies and platforms supporting Supplemental Benefit payments products
- 5+ years of relevant product, implementation, client success or consulting experience in the Supplemental Benefit and Directed Spend market
- 3+ years of experience working with enterprise integration tools or methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with current and potential Payer customers as a trusted consultative/technical resource
- Proven exceptional customer-facing communication and demonstration skills
- Proven solid influencing skills

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
