As a Sales Operations Analyst, your passion for turning data into information will be leveraged to compile and report vital information to support Quality and Compliance centered objectives within the Medicare & Retirement Sales organization. This is a position that affords you the ability to not only report trends in several key areas of expertise, but to help drive process improvement initiatives across the business. By gathering and documenting business requirements and utilizing your sharp analytical skills to fulfill the needs of the business and/or leadership, you will make a significant impact on creating a superior consumer experience and ultimately achieving UnitedHealthcare’s mission to build a better Medicare.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify and extract data from sales reporting systems to facilitate moderately complex analytics requests and/or solve moderately complex business problems
- Manipulate, analyze, and interpret large amounts of data using internal reporting tools, Excel, PowerPoint, and more to identify trends, patterns and key opportunities for improvement within the organization
- Create presentation documents and materials to summarize results with little direction (Graphs, charts, written reports, PowerPoint slides or decks, etc.)
- Communicate analysis and interpretation to appropriate audiences
- Assist in identifying areas of improvement, and help develop remediation action plans to help drive higher levels of quality and performance within the organization
- Act as a resource for others within areas of expertise
- Document processes and procedures in order to ensure business continuity
- Conduct process reviews and gather feedback to identify opportunities to improve operational performance
- Assist in project management related tasks including development of business and project plans, facilitating project meetings, and driving process improvement projects to completion
- Identify and close capability gaps between current state and desired state

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years relevant work experience within the UHC Medicare & Retirement Sales Organization (or equivalent)
- Beginner level experience with SQL
- Demonstrated intermediate to expert level experience with Microsoft Excel to include:
- Minimum basic skills including formatting, filters, graphs, formulas
- Intermediate skills including creating and manipulating pivot tables and pivot charts, creating reporting templates, and writing advanced formulas (IE vlookups and xlookups)
- Intermediate to advanced level PowerPoint experience
- Proven solid analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and a high level of attention to detail
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal guidance (seeks guidance only on the most complex tasks)
- Ability to prioritize and organize own work to meet deadlines without direct supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to be a self-starter
- Ability to be self-motivated with solid interpersonal skills
- Proven solid relationship building experience

The hourly range for this role is $23.70 to $46.35 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
