Reports to: Senior Vice President, Marketing Solutions Delivery

 

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Consumer Product and Marketing Technology, the Senior Director, Marketing Solutions Delivery is accountable for end-to-end marketing journey development and delivery including the corresponding related training and business change management.  This role interfaces with the Line of Business leaders for Marketing Evolution to elicit requirements, create the Line of Business Backlog, prioritize the backlog, build the PI and Sprint plans for the Line of Business.  The role is accountable for the quality of requirements, documentation of features, engineering delivery of features, testing, Line of Business Acceptance and deployment to production.  The role is the CEO of all elements required to deliver a journey or other marketing solution to the business.  Included in this role is ensuring all agile ceremony is in place to deliver quality requirements, features, and solutions.  This role interfaces with the product owners across all product families to ensure the core capabilities are in place to enable the journey.  Where these capabilities are not in place, the Solution Delivery leader negotiates with the product owners to build the desire capability as part of the journey built.  The Marketing Solutions Delivery leader is accountable for all schedules, dependencies, reporting, costs, and communications of delivery dates for every journey within the assigned line of business.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Own the end-to-end plan for journey development and delivery.  This includes the core journeys, campaign migrations and other marketing solutions
  • Collaborate with line of business leadership and analysts to groom the line of business backlog of requirements for the Martech platform  
  • Build your Line of Business Journey roadmap.  Align the roadmap with the leaders in your line of busines and with leaders across the UHC program
  • Work with the LOB leadership to prioritize journeys to be developed on the Martech platform
  • Build the annual Martech investment plans for the line of business your own.  Assist in capital requests by providing critical cost and benefit input
  • Participate in Product Management Review (PMC) offering your perspective on the relative importance of the requirements from your line of business
  • Preside over all teams in your LOB workstream.  Own the delivery commitments and communicate scope, delivery dates and investment status
  • Collaborate with business project management to establish an integrated project plan inclusive of both business deliverables and core Martech team deliverables
  • Engage with capability management leadership to secure business analysts for feature documentation for you Line of Business
  • Collaborate with product owners from Data, Journey, Insights and Content/Digital Asset Management to ensure product capabilities are available in time for solutions delivery initiatives (Journeys)
  • Collaborate with engineering leaders to ensure proper engineering representation on scrum teams for your initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Martch COE to ensure centralized common services required by your journeys will be available in time for scheduled delivery.  
  • Provide the leading voice in PI planning, Sprint Plan development, and scrum team stand-ups as appropriate  
  • Develop pods/teams of professionals to develop requirements, document features and deliver features by leveraging the engineering teams and campaign delivery experts  
  • Represent UHC in industry and vendor conventions and summits or similar forums.  Speak in these forums as appropriate and develop industry connections from which UHC can gain valuable insights 
  • Develop your people using CLL and other job aids to ensure employees become better professionals from the leadership level down to the individual contributor level

  • Keep DEI at the center of your recruitment and advancement strategy.  Be mindful of good representation across all succession plans throughout your organization

Required Qualification: 

  • 10+ years experience with end to end marketing journey development, including accountability for the quality of requirements, documentation of features, engineering delivery of features, testing, Line of Business Acceptance and deployment to production
  • 5 + years of leadership experience

The salary range for this role is $150,200 to $288,500 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
