This position is responsible for the continuous assessment and ongoing development/strengthening of payer training curriculums that drive continuous and impactful engagement, resulting in the growth of pipeline and client retention.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, refine, and socialize best practice sales training and education programs across the Optum Payer portfolio, in collaboration with matrix partners
- Understand the needs and requirements of sales and matrix partners to ensure robust onboarding and continuous learning experience
- Create and facilitate role-based certification programs for new hires and existing team members
- Develop training programs and content incorporating consultative selling and instructional design principles
- Manage ongoing inventory for continued learning and development needs, including support of new Go-To-Market initiatives, upsell and cross-sell campaigns
- Point of contact as the voice of growth and market with product and business leadership to articulate sales enablement and process hardening needs
- Deliver weekly open mic and training sessions, including managing the training calendar and content for each session
- Support strategic product launches, sales promotion campaigns, and drive synergy between growth, market, and product organizations. Ensure growth and market approaches are fully understood
- Build awareness and uptake of the Optum Payer Value Story, ensuring the team can articulate it adequately and consistently to the market/clients
- Ensure new innovations, trends, and emerging markets information reach the field
- Identify, establish, and implement frameworks, processes, and tools to improve go-to-market efficiency
- Partner with the growth team to identify and address product information and support gaps. Gather data to determine additional team training needs
- Establish tailored onboarding training and development maps for each growth and market new hire roles to ensure a seamless onboarding experience
- Build tools and processes to ensure Optum product information is effectively disseminated and understood by the field

Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of career progression in sales effectiveness within a matrix, deadline-driven organization.
- Experience in development and delivery of training
- Experience in the healthcare industry
- Intermediate level proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Proven ability to think critically, solve problems and make decisions without guidance
- Direct experience working with senior leadership teams and stakeholders including Director and VP level
- Ability to work standard day hours in CST or EST time zone
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of OI Payer solutions
- Experience selling or managing products within healthcare technology
- Previous direct sales experience within the healthcare industry
- Advanced skills in SharePoint and SharePoint platform-specific tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams
- Effective organization, collaboration, and influencing
- Ability to manage and prioritize several projects and deliverables
- Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity
- Proficiency in writing, communicating, and to effectively deliver content

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
